Hallmarking
Hallmarking is an important part of UK jewellery standards and provides independent assurance of precious metal quality.
We are committed to meeting all legal and industry requirements for hallmarking, ensuring that our jewellery is fully compliant with UK regulations where applicable.

What is Hallmarking?
Hallmarking is the official process of testing and certifying precious metals such as gold, silver, and platinum. In the UK, this is carried out by an Assay Office to confirm the purity of the metal used in each piece.
Hallmarking confirms that the metal is genuine and meets UK legal standards. It is required on items over certain weights:
-
Silver: over 7.78g
-
Gold: over 1g
-
Palladium: over 1g
-
Platinum: over 0.5g

Our Commitment to Standards
Where required, our gold and silver jewellery is independently tested and hallmarked through an official UK Assay Office. This ensures every applicable piece meets strict legal standards for metal purity and authenticity.
As a member of the National Association of Jewellers, we are committed to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, transparency, and compliance with UK jewellery standards.

Why It Matters
Hallmarking gives you confidence that your jewellery is:
-
Made from genuine precious metals
-
Independently tested and verified
-
Fully compliant with UK legal standards
It is a long-established safeguard that protects customers and upholds trust within the jewellery industry.

In Summary
Hallmarking ensures that your jewellery is not only beautiful, but also authentic, traceable, and made to recognised UK standards.
